Fueled by our shared passion, determination, and drive, SC3 was officially incorporated as an association on January 30, 2025. Our inspiration is the coconut. Why? It is a popular symbol for all things Caribbean, and much like the people of San Nicolas, coconuts are:

• Resilient: Historically, the coconut arrived on Aruba’s shores from faraway places and was able to assimilate and become a part of the beautiful culture of Aruba.
• Resourceful: The coconut’s many uses and purposes also make it a symbol of resourcefulness. From the husk to the shell to the flesh to the water, it produces an array of products like coconut oil, coconut milk, goodies, souvenirs, dishes, baskets, etc. The people of San Nicolas have resourcefulness ingrained in their DNA, and just like the coconut, the people of Sunrise City may be a hard nut to crack, but once you get to our core, we are as sweet as coconut tarts.

SC3 strives to Cultivating Opportunities and Connections to Nourish, Uplift, and Transform San Nicolas. Encapsulated in the acronym COCONUTS.

Our work is supported by a passionate network of volunteers, dedicated leaders, and community advocates who share a common goal: creating lasting, positive impact. SC3 envisions a future where the community thrives through collaboration, unity, and self-reliance.
